Neighborhood Quarterly Meeting Minutes

May 18, 2019

Officers present:  Mike McGinn, Joe Monaco, Kelvin King and Mary Reed

The Bellwood Neighborhoods Civic League meeting (a community BBQ) was held on Saturday 5:30 pm in the cul-de-sac of Margaret Circle.  Kelvin and Debbie King hosted the meeting.  President Mike McGinn called the meeting to order.  The meeting began with a raffle (the prizes were homemade jam, a $50 gift card for Home Depot and $50 gift card for Olive Garden) for those who arrived prior to the meeting time.
The minutes were provided by Mary Reed and posted on website.

Treasurer’s Report:

Kelvin King presented the treasurer’s report.  Marilyn Russell motioned to accept and seconded by Frank Gilliard.  The treasurer’s report was approved as presented.

Committee reports:

Neighborhood Watch – There wasn’t a report of any unusual activity.  Cheryl attended this meeting with police. In order to maintain “Neighborhood Watch” police monitoring there must be 50% participation of households.  That includes the household names and addresses.

Community Yard sale is scheduled for Saturday, June 15, 2019, 7am till 1pm.  Victory House will pick up from neighborhood after 1pm. Signs will be placed at neighborhood entrances.

Cheryl reported dues collection: Bellwood Estates (47%) Bellwood Meadows (45%) and Bellwood Forest (30%)

Frank Gilliard asked if there is any recourse for unwarranted solicitors.

Neighbors are asked to be neighborly when it’s obvious that your neighbor is out of town.

Cheryl announced that Marilyn Russell of hospitality committee is resigning from the position, anyone interested please contact Cheryl Monaco.
